Why having it all is just a state of mind.

In honor of our field trip to see the ever-amazing Kacey Musgraves when she came to Pittsburgh, we thought it would be appropriate to share a nugget of wisdom from the lady herself.

Having it all is just a state of mind.

There is so much pressure these days around having it all; a successful business, a lifestyle that screams fabulousness, and a perfectly curated Instagram feed.

The truth is, there is no such thing as having it all.

Even the most successful business owners have bad days (and years). They still make mistakes,  they just have a bigger price tag associated with them. Anxiety and worry still hit even the most even-tempered and well-adjusted among us.

There are even people who would be deemed highly unsuccessful (those living in poverty or third-world countries) who are loving life and finding joy and contentment all around them.

It's about the stories we tell ourselves, the ways in which we interpret our experiences, and choosing to replace our old and ineffective stories with new and more balanced ones.
