Style Summit Spotlight: Aire Plichta

We were lucky enough to have Aire speak on our super stylin' panel at the September Networking Happy Hour. But we consider it a total coup to have Aire on board to share her tips and drop a few style bombs at the Style Summit.

Aire is witty, fun, and unique. Just like her favorite rainbow sparkle zebra print jacket (pictured above).

And she is a rockstar when it comes to fashion. Working at ModCloth, writing a fashion blog that combines her love of fashion and football, and rocking the sparkles like it's nobodies business.

We hope you enjoy Aire's spotlight!

Introduce yourself as if you were speaking from the cockpit.
Hello my fellow fashionable, flying friends! This is your captain Aire Plichta, sparkling in the cockpit! Have no fear, the rhinestones and sequins I'm wearing will help light the way for the duration of our 2 hour flight!

How do you show your personality through your style? How does your style relate to the work that you do?
I consider myself a pretty fun, friendly and unique person, and try to show this through my flashy, yet eclectic pieces. I like to buy a lot of vintage, thrifted items, since they tend to be more one of a kind! I am very blessed that ModCloth encourages us to be ourselves and show our personality through our clothing at work. And of course, last but not least, no one looks at me twice when I walk in to the office in full sequins.

If you could name a nail polish color after yourself, what would it be?
Well, I would have to have my first name in it because with a unique name like Aire I never got to have things with my name on them when I was younger, so my goal in life is to use my name every chance I get! So it would be...Aire's Ageratum Blue.

Not all flights are smooth. Tell us about how you handle turbulence in your work and life.
I know this sounds hard to believe, especially if you know me and how dramatic I can be, but I really try not to dwell on things that are out of my control, and instead think of the next steps that can help to make the situation better.

Who is the wind beneath your wings?
My family, boyfriend and best friends. Having them in my life is a wonderful reminder of how amazing life can be.

Advice to other women as they navigate the professional world?
Ohhh be yourself! Wear the colors you love, layer the jewelry everyday, and don't be afraid to start at the bottom, you learn a lot more down there than you would starting at the top!
